The local art collective Sketchy Neighbors will host a new music-themed art show/sale at Cactus Music on Saturday called "Free Association Blunder." Art in a variety of mediums will be on display at the store's Record Ranch and available through a silent auction or through a buy-now price. Here's a video as they prep for the show.
A variety of Sketchy t-shirts will also be for sale and, as always, beverages will be provided by St. Arnold. Clint Broussard of KTRU's great Blues in Hi Fi will DJ.
There will be a preview of the art at 6 p.m. with the silent auction taking place from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
Here's one sample of the wares, an illuminated Big Star piece by Marisa Avelar that meets all criteria for being el goodo.
