Inprint's next reading is this evening, with author E. L. Doctorow, but if you're a book nerd you probably already know that. Did you also know that Inprint has a brand-new blog where critic Robert Cremins writes his thoughts on the authors who are coming to Houston to read?
For Doctorow, Cremins has read about a book a week, starting with his breakthrough novel The Book of Daniel and finishing with the author's most recent work, Homer & Langley, a fictional account of famous hoarders the Collyer brothers.
Homer and Langley also happens to be the current book for the Inprint Book Club. Wassat? Yes, Inprint also has a book club which meets one Sunday a month at the Inprint House in the Montrose where writer's workshops are held. You can see a list of the upcoming books, all written by authors in the 2009-2010 reading series, here.
7:30 p.m. Hubbard Stage, Alley Theatre. General admission tickets: $5. Unsold tickets and free rush tickets for students and senior citizens available at the door starting at 6:45 pm.
