Photo by Johnny Hanson: Novelist Katherine Center.Katherine Center, best known for her novel The Bright Side of Disaster, about surviving an unexpected pregnancy, will be reading from her second novel, Everyone is Beautiful, which chronicles the trials of raising a toddler in the same breezy, witty, apple-pie style as her first work. Center is a graduate of the University of Houston’s MFA program in creative writing and a veteran of Writers in the Schools. One of the most fun parts about her fiction is how truly Houstonian it is, punctuated (Although if you’ve never popped out a baby and have no desire to, you might skip this one).
