Komodo's Pub really has nothing to do with its large, reptilian namesake. The building's not green, there's no jungle theme, the employees aren't wearing safari gear, nothing. What is apparent about Komodo's is that it used to be a house. The fireplace, kitchen and porch are all still intact. It really brings a neighborhood aesthetic to the otherwise commercial and unfriendly feeling of Midtown. The drink prices are nice and the crowd is always lively. This is especially true on weekends, when they pump up their jukebox volume to a level that an actual house party would never get away with.
