Looking to slum it for a night while visiting a Houston institution? Head to Numbers for a good time. The club features four bars, each with their separate quirks: there's a cash-only bar, one that takes credit cards, a bar with drink specials, and a smaller bar upstairs that never seems to be open, which is a shame because it's the perfect spot to people-watch. You'll always find interesting characters around the club. There's the sweaty old guy who dances like a mad man with glo-sticks in hand, the sad goth couple who sits at a table and only moves when The Cure is played, as well as a constant supply of the kind of weird kids you went to high school with. Numbers is known for its dance nights, but also features a stage that has seen thousands of bands over the last 30 years.
