Looking to slum it for a night while visiting a Houston institution? Head to Numbers for a good time. The club features four bars, each with their separate quirks: there's a cash-only bar, one that takes credit cards, a bar with drink specials, and a smaller bar upstairs that never seems to be open, which is a shame because it's the perfect spot to people-watch. You'll always find interesting characters around the club. There's the sweaty old guy who dances like a mad man with glo-sticks in hand, the sad goth couple who sits at a table and only moves when The Cure is played, as well as a constant supply of the kind of weird kids you went to high school with. Numbers is known for its dance nights, but also features a stage that has seen thousands of bands over the last 30 years.
Varies
Hours vary: Wednesdays is ReMixed Wednesday playing a mix of new and old with the normal Numbers spin. Doors open at 6PM for Happy Hour! Cheap drinks all night. Age restriction is 18+. Price is generally $3 21+ and $5 18-20.
Thursday is Hip-Hop Thursday with a $5 cover, doors are at 10 PM
Friday is Classic Numbers spinning hits from the 80's on vinyl.
Doors at 9:15 PM. $3 21+, $5 18-20. Cheap drinks until 11.
Saturday, Numbers is generally CLOSED. Except for concerts and Underworld's Monthly Bash. Check out numbersnightclub.com for full details.
And please note that Numbers now has a ladies bathroom attendant and it is in a lot better shape than it was! Then again, if you think the Numbers bathroom is cramped, you haven't been to the Orbit Room yet. LOL
Free parking in the Number's parking lot. Please note that while there is someone ALWAYS in the parking lot directing drivers and keeping an eye on everything, please please please! stow away any valuables in your trunk and make sure you lock your car up and make sure you have a designated driver. Police do patrol the club and are on call for any disturbances. They just want everyone to go home safe and come back the next week ready to party! :)
