Dave Rossman/For the Chronicle
Length of time working at current place?
Three years.
Lamest pickup line you’ve heard at the bar?
I honestly don’t get hit on all that much. However, this guy asked me and two of my co-workers for our phone numbers. Seriously? We all work together and are friends. Boys are silly sometimes.
Most famous person you’ve ever served a drink to?
Jamie Kennedy, Stu Stone, Dave Scott (choreographer for Step Up 2, Stomp the Yard and You got Served).
Becoming friends with customers: yes or no?
Most def a yes. I met lots of my closer friends while I was working.
Most common customer complaint?
“There is too much vodka in here. Can I have more cranberry?” Whoops.
Song you’ve gotten sick of at work?
Any Adele song. Who cares if it has a dance beat? Her songs are not fun or happy.
What’s the sloppiest, drunkest thing you’ve ever seen on the job?
A girl passed out while in the restroom and threw up all over herself.
How do you keep from getting drunk at work?
By being super busy and keeping in mind that the best way to lead a team is by example.
What’s the most outrageous request you’ve ever gotten?
To do a cartwheel for a $20 tip. I did it.
Who’s the better tipper, guys or girls?
It’s the same, honestly. People are people.
Where do you like to go have a drink when you’re not at work?
I’m usually at home with my dog Marley. If I do go out, it’s Sawyer Park, Red Door and Saint Genevieve.
What’s your specialty drink, and how do you make it?
People love how I make a Lunch Box, aka Trash Can. A shot glass of crown and Amaretto dropped in beer and OJ.
What’s something your customers may not know about you?
I am the marketing director and a manager for all of our bars. I also teach both gymnastics and dance.
Jen, you are beautiful and you have stunning eyes. I would go to Wonder bar just to get a glimpse of you. Unfortunately I live in Sugar Land so probably not going to happen. Keep pouring those drinks!! Peace...
well thanks lol sucks you cant come play
Hi Jen: I thought that your comment about "putting too much vodka" in a drink was a great answer to the question. But honestly, you don't really expect anyone to believe that any bar actually routinely puts too much alcohol in drinks, do you. We both know that bars routinely put too little alcohol in drinks. I applaud you for you boldness though in asserting such a fantastic untruth.
