Alchemists’ imaginations work overtime around the holidays. Here are a few of the cocktails that are enjoying a limited run:

• Kiran's bartenders are offering a new fall cocktail called the Pumpkin-tini ($12). It includes Stoli Vanilla, pumpkin butter, cinnamon simple syrup, orange and apple juices and a nutmeg garnish.

• At H20 Ultra Lounge at the San Luis Resort in Galveston, guests can try a Candy Corn Cordial ($12). It’s made with Grey Goose vodka, Blood Orange Liqueur and orange and cranberry juices. It’s served in a glass rimmed with white chocolate.

Balvenie tasting at Fifty-Two-Twenty-Six
Scotch whisky maker Balvenie is bringing its Rare Craft Roadshow to Houston for a tasting 7:30-9:30 p.m. Tuesday at Fifty-Two-Twenty-Six, 5226 Elm. Among the adult beverages to be sampled will the newly released 17 Year Old Doublewood. The evening, hosted by Balvenie ambassador Lorne Cousin, also will include a screening of the documentary “Handmade: A Celebration of American Craftsmanship.” The tasting is free but space is limited.
