Hey, sports fans, here are some of our favorite bar bites

In honor of the Big Dance, which gets underway Thursday, March 17 (no I don't recognize those silly "first four" games), here are five of my favorite "bar" foods:

Beef sliders at Reef. The baby burger that built Little Big's is without a doubt better than it's spinoff. Served in Reef's ever-so-cool 3rd Bar, the beef patty is topped with deeply caramelized onions with a kicky Srichacha dressing on the side.

Crunchy Stuffed Olives at Brian O'Neill's. A basket of these babies can be gone in minutes, even when you're dining alone. They are that addictive. Black olives are stuffed with Asiago cheese and then rolled in bread crumbs and fried. The olives are served with a peppercorn ranch dressing. Try to eat just one.

Barbecue Shrimp at The Rouxpour. The peppery barbecue shrimp are served with plenty of the spicy, buttery broth and a nice chunk of toast. They're not for purists, as the shrimp are headless and peeled, but then most people are interested in donning a bib and shucking heads on when the game is on.

And these that I've written about in the past:

Sassy Saucy Shrimp at Texas Borders Bars & Grill.

Feta and Rosemary fries at Petrol Station.

    Italian nachos at Spaghetti Western.

    Hub Fries at PubHub.
