Prost!: FotoliaThis week's Oktoberfest event is brought to you by Under The Volcano, a bar that I have frequented on many memorable (and on a really good night, not so memorable) occasions. They're kicking off their German jam with the polka stylings of Mark Halata and Texavia and special musical guest Mark Rubin (formerly of The Bad Livers).
The Volcano will party from 4 p.m.-10 p.m., providing big ass bratwurst plates (sauerkraut and potato salad as sides) for around $5 to $8, depending on which one you choose.
And to wash it all down? Aside from their regular draft selection, they'll feature two Oktoberfest brews: Saint Arnold and Warsteiner (They ran out of the Hofbrau, you greedy bastards.) The foamy delights will be served up in cool German steins. Beer plus stein for $9.75.
