• Oktoberfest and Autumn Seasonals at The Ginger Man
Joe at the pub says they'll pair lots of new and vintage Oktoberfests, pumpkin ales and other fall seasonal beers with sausage and spit-roasted chicken delivered straight from Wurstfest. The shindig starts at 3 p.m. and it's only $35 per person, but you better call and make a reservation. Seating is limited and I may have already taken your spot.

• 6th Annual Rescue Rally at The Gingerman
The Ginger Man will have a very busy weekend. This event is for a cause, namely focusing on the role of animal rescue groups. There will be a silent auction, a raffle, beer (duh) and food.

• The Vintage Harvest Festival: A Celebration of Food, Wine & Art at Vintage Park
Are you doing the suburban thing this weekend? Head out to the 'burbs for this festival celebrating all things autumn. There's an art alley, a wine and beer garden sponsored by Brix Wine Cellars and H-E-B, plus seasonal food samples and cooking demonstrations. Be aware that this is a family event though. No drunken table dances, please.
