Wine-a-palooza is Rescheduled.

Just got the bad news: I can now change that to Wine-a-palooza is Canceled. The Corkscrew is canceling their Wine-apalooza event, which was originally scheduled for Oct. 4, then rescheduled for Oct. 11.

Here are some other wine-ish events on that day that might interest you:

• Block 7 Wine Co. is touting the Texas rock with Robert Ellis. Grab a glass and enjoy a close, personal performance.

• The Bayou City Art Festival is happening Oct. 10-11. Though art is the main focus, there should be enough wine to satisfy most people's palates.

• Or just hang out at a wine bar. There are plenty in the Houston area.
