James Toney laying on the hurt: EAFight Night Round 4's Photo Game Face is one of the creepiest things I've seen since that Michael Jackson video where people's faces morph into one another.
Basically, you can upload a picture of your face which is then transferred to your boxer avatar. That way, you can spar with some of the biggest names in boxing. Joe Frazier, Lennox Lewis, Muhammad Ali, Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao - all have the possibility of rearranging your face. And it doesn't stop there. The most awesome thing is that you're visibly injured, i.e. your face gets bruised, swollen, cut and bleeding.
A new feature for Fight Night Round 4 allows you to play using different types of boxing styles, so you can fight up-close and personal like "inside" boxers Manny Pacquiao and Joe Frazier, or be a float-like-a-butterfly "outside" fighter like Muhammad Ali and Lennox Lewis. Be a brawler like George Foreman or a classic boxer - whatever you like.
The physics-based animation system also allows more variety in punches, blocks and ring movement, so you shouldn't get stuck in one spot like I frequently did in Fight Night Round 3.
If you were a fan of the previous titles in this series, this may be a game you want to check out. And if you do, send us a picture of your creepy Fight Night face.
The game is available for PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles and will be released Tuesday, June 23 at Game Crazy, Game Stop and other local video game retailers.
Other video games released this week:
Overlord II for PS3, XBOX 360.
Overlord: Dark Legend for Wii
Overlord: Minions for DS.
Spore Galactic Adventures for PC
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen for XBox 360, PS3, Wii, PSP, PS2.
So if you can use your own face to put on a boxer, you can use other faces too. Meaning I could spend hours pounding the bejesus out of Cher, Robert Plant, or the cast of Full House.
Count me in.
Dude, Rachel Ray and Dr. Phil = major ass-kicking.
Maybe we could double-team on the cast of Full House.
