This year, it looks like I'm going to have no fewer than three Thanksgiving meals. I am thankful for the abundance and reminded that there are lots of people in this city who won't have nearly the amount of food or companionship that I will enjoy this week, which is why I'm particularly touched that Bun B. is lending his name to a food drive to benefit the Houston Food Bank next week.

To aid in the fight against hunger this holiday season, Boost Mobile has teamed up with Houston hip hop artist, Bun B, to host a food drive to benefit the Houston Food Bank. The event will take place at the Boost Mobile retail store in Westhill Village. Boost Mobile will also be presenting a $5,000 donation to Bun B’s charity of choice, Bethel’s Place, a local community development and outreach center. Houston’s KBXX 97.9 The Box will be onsite broadcasting live with giveaways from 1:30 p.m.–2:30 p.m.

Visitors who drop off five or more cans of food will receive a free ticket to Bun B’s concert taking place that evening, Wednesday, Nov. 25 at 9 p.m. at Hush Nightclub in Houston.
