Gary Louris

Gary Louris, the singer/songwriter/guitarist of the Jayhawks, has had to cancel his upcoming tour dates, which included a local date at McGonigel's Mucky Duck this Saturday. The announcement sounds alarming.

From his Facebook page:

"Thanks for another great run of shows this weekend, but some unfortunately news to share: Gary has to cancel his remaining solo dates this fall due to a health concern requiring immediate attention. He sends his heartfelt apologies for any inconvenience or disappointment - canceling shows is not a decision taken lightly but his health is the first priority right now.

"Gary plans to get back on the road as soon as possible - he has loved sharing his songs over the past month and wants to thank everyone who's joined in. But for now, we appreciate your understanding and support."
