The KTRU Mobile has been stolen

    KTRU Mobile 1

If you've attended the Westheimer Block party, you've probably seen it outside Numbers, its gleaming metal glory supporting a KTRU DJ and a mixing board. It is the KTRU-mobile and much like the Tower of Pisa or the Eiffel Tower, it is a landmark treasured by citizens of its city.

Thus we found ourselves overwhelmed with anger and sadness this morning over an e-mail from KTRU's Ian Wells. It appears that some vile rapscallion stole Kirston Otis's oft-admired El Camino from Dunlavy and Maryland between 10 p.m. and 1a.m. while Otis was at Poison Girl last night.

Houstonians: We are calling on you to be on the look-out for this cultural landmark (license plate BB77SD).  If you know anything that would help, please alert HPD at 713-884-3131 (or contact us here and we will supply the pitchforks and torches).
