Armiger in studio: (Johnny Hanson/Houston Chronicle)
Katie Armiger is getting closer and closer to a bonafide breakout. Her "sassy, flirty" single "Better in a Black Dress" is her highest-charting song to date, and the video has soared past half a million YouTube views.
For many folks, it's an introduction. But "Fall Into Me" is her fourth album and follows a trio of solid efforts that have carefully cultivated a following. Her self-titled debut album was released in 2007, at age 16, and included debut single "17 in Abilene."
She followed it up with 2008’s “Believe.” Several of its videos earned heavy airplay on GAC and CMT, including shoulda-been-a-huge-hit "Unseen" ...
and "Trail of Lies."
Her 2010 album, “Confessions of a Nice Girl,” generated three Billboard-charting singles, including “Kiss Me Now,"
“Best Song Ever”
and “Scream.”
