Madonna, fresh off her lauded Super Bowl XLVI halftime spectacular, is coming to town.

The queen of pop has set an Oct. 24 date at Toyota Center. Tickets go on sale Feb. 27. More details are TBA, but expect prices to be steep. (An Oct. 20 date is scheduled for Dallas.)

According to Billboard, this will be Madonna's "most extensive tour ever in terms of number of dates."

Her last tour, Sticky & Sweet, grossed $408 million, the highest ever for a solo artist and third-highest of all time. It hit Houston in Nov. 2008 at Minute Maid Park.

The new trek will play 26 European markets before hitting North America beginning Aug. 28 in Philadelphia. A total of 26 shows are also planned for these parts, and the tour will likely end up one of the most successful in history. (Again.)

Madonna's 13th studio album, MDNA, is due March 26. A ticket to the show will get you a digital or physical copy of MDNA. Lifetime Legacy members of Icon, Madonna's official fan club, will receive first access to tickets and VIP Packages starting today. Registered free Icon members will have the opportunity to purchase an Icon Live Pass, which gives them access to ticket and VIP Package pre-sales.

VIP Packages will be available through VIP Nation, including premium seats, exclusive merchandise and more. Regular tickets will go on sale via livenation.com.

    YES YES & YES

Before her Superbowl halftime performance, I may have considered attending this concert. But it was so lackluster that I dont think I will bother.

Her Super Bowl show was spectacular. She always had few dancers next to hr on stage, this is not new.

Her halftime show was awesome until the new "talent" took the mikes. She's been rockin' since the early 80's and those young cats won't make a second CD.

I just saw her on Sunday for free!

    BentaHellenbach Tue, 02/07/2012 - 11:58am

And she wasn't even that good. She was entertaining enough, I guess. But I'd never pay to see her lipsynch for a couple of hours.

    Raven Sun, 02/12/2012 - 7:53pm

I take it you never have seen her in concert before. She doesn't lip sync. You can hear when she takes a breathe. She is an incredible performer for singing live while dancing as much as she does. So, her concerts are worth going to.

    Lip Syncing Sucks Tue, 02/07/2012 - 9:46am

Instead of going to the "show", I might just stay at home and pop in the CD. I'll be listening to the same thing recording as everyone at Toyota Center...

I'll go if someone else gets the tickets.......Her time has passed...

    MadFan Tue, 02/07/2012 - 10:54am

I will definitely go see her! She's the best! The haters here complaining just simply can't afford her ticket prices!

    Billy Tue, 02/07/2012 - 11:43am

Pop superstar Madonna doesn't sympathize with fans who grumble about the escalating price of her concert tickets. She says they should "start saving" their money because she's "worth it."

She tells Newsweek magazine, "Start saving your pennies now. People spend $300 on crazy things all the time, things like handbags. So work all year, scrape the money together, and come to my show. I'm worth it."

She is the Material Girl and could frankly care less about her fans.

    Steven E. Tue, 02/07/2012 - 11:57am

She was over 2 hours late at the 2008 concert, never again.

The last time I was stupid enough to pay to see a Concert was the mid '50s in Dallas. I saw Little Richard beat the mortal heck out of a piano.I don't think he was lip-sinqueing...That piano was probably so slimy with his sweat they had to send it to a car wash. Why, ALL the people in his backup band could ACTUALLY play an instrument!

WHooo ooo ooo ooo Baby! Baby!
    Havin' me....some fun tonight!

    Nope...no Madonna for me.

Saw her at the dome '85 or '86. Don't care for some of her antics in between, but thought her Superbowl performance was outstanding.
Appreciated her tasteful selection of wardrobe as well.

I loved Madonna back in the 80s, but she is way beyond her prime. The Super Bowl halftime showed that. It was totally prerecorded and auto-tuned. And with all the backing dancers and props, it will be tough to notice that Madonna is there. And $2-300 to see her in a large arena or stadium is totally out of bounds.
Give me a free ticket and I will gladly go and review the show. But I won't worship her presence and kiss her feet (re: Joey's reviews of Britney Spears and Robyn) irregardless of what happens on stage.

I'd go if Motorhead played first. Than I could leave before she started....

I got 3 tickets for Madonna's Ottawa show and I am very happy. I am HUGE MADONNA FAN since day 1. To those who are negative and talking shit about her and her lip-synch - is she the only performer that do that? how can you sing and make flips?? No one can dance as Madonna does and sing. You want her just to sing and focus on her voice, well she will sit or stand still in front of a microphone and no dancing and flipping up side down. Come on guys!
