Marilyn Manson is touring the U.S. for the first time since 2009. And he's coming to Houston. The shock-rocker hits town May 13 at the House of Blues.
A new album, Born Villian, is due this spring. More details are on the way.
The only time I reviewed a Manson show was in 1998 at the Verizon Wireless Theatre -- and it was cut short by overzealous fans tossing beers onstage. He threw down his microphone and stormed offstage an hour into the set, which suffered from staging and sound problems.
What do you think? Has Manson's time passed? Or are you excited?
I for one am going. It's going to be a blast. DON'T MISS IT!
Haha...I saw him play at Lakewood Church!
Seriously? Did he?
Yea, back when it was called The Summit
Nice! Talk about antichrist superstar!!
Who cares?
Not rare enough.
It wasn't the fans, he got pissed because his mic wasn't working. the PA kept shorting out and he threw a hissy fit. Him opening up for NIN at Lakewood was one of the best shows ever.
Still jam portrait of an american family, smells like children, and antichrist superstar. To me it kinda got watered down after antichrist superstar, so I don't listen to any of those albums. Really wanted to see one of his shows back in the day but now, I don't want to spend the $$$. I'd rather go see underground bands play at hole in the wall clubs for much less money.
Yawnnnn...
I could not be less interested.
He certainly screwed up plenty of kids in his prime. I always told my kids he would soon be wearing Sansabelt slacks and playing golf a la Alice Cooper.
So excited! He really knows music! I love him! I'm stoked!
This can't happen!
I think all of Manson's music. He couldn't keep doing Antichrist Superstar forever and it is pretty to cool to see an artist grow and change directions. Watered down? I don't think so. He's just mellowing - he doesn't have to scream for our attention anymore. His belly scars can heal and he can put his antique dental appliances away. ;-)

Saw him (them) at Numbers back in 95-96 or so. Smells Like Children had just came out. One of the best shows I have ever been to.
Rather see Motorhead.. Oh wait, I am!
Wish I was going, but that is the same weekend the Green Day musical "American Idiot" is playing in Dallas. Already have tickets for that show. I saw him last time he played Verizon Wireless. It was a GREAT show. Also, House of Blues in Houston is a great venue for live music. There is not a bad seat in the house. I will typically see any show I can there.
He should get LETTERS TO VOLTRON to open up for him. Those guys are the new shit for sure.
I agree. Anyone reading this should definatly check them out. If you think u know good tunes...just wait.
