Miss Mykie has a new job and a new look: Karl Ferguson courtesy of BET
Miss Mykie left teaching behind at Gregory-Lincoln Education Center, where she focused on theater arts for four years, to pursue rapping and singing. Now, she's on TV five days a week -- interviewing rappers and singers.
She's one of four new hosts on cable TV network BET’s long-running “106 & Park,” a video countdown show featuring celebrity guests. It's been one of BET’s highest-rated series since its 2000 debut. Mykie joins rapper/actor Bow Wow and Detroit radio personalities Shorty da Prince and Paigion, replacing former hosts Terrence J and Rocsi Diaz.
See her in action below with Brandy:
Mykie attended Westbury High School as a freshman and finished up at Hightower High School in Fort Bend ISD. She's released a string of mixtapes and music videos that earned her underground buzz. Several clips have been featured on #MykieMondays via her Twitter page.
