UPDATE: The Red Tour plays Toyota Center May 16. Tickets are a reasonable $29.50-$84.50 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Dec. 14 at 866-446-8849, via houstontoyotacenter.com and at select Randalls.

Taylor Swift fans, rejoice. The crossover superstar is taking her acclaimed "Red" album on tour.

Swift made the announcement during a Friday night primetime special and will perform 58 shows in 45 cities in 29 states and three provinces. That includes a May 16 date in Houston. (Venue and on-sale date TBA.)

At Swift's request, every show will include tickets priced at less than $50. U.K. singer Ed Sheeran will open all dates. He's also featured on "Everything Has Changed," a duet on Swift's "Red" album that has already reached No. 1 on the overall iTunes songs chart.

Billboard expects "Red" to move more than 1 million copies in its first full week of release, making her the only female act to achieve that feat twice. ("Speak Now" shifted 1 million-plus in 2010.)

Tayor Swift should be appreciated for pricing some tickets under $50 hesfor 2013 May 16 concert in Houston. Hope these $50 tickets will be sold only 2 maximum to each person or on line purchase with same credit card.

Bravo Taylor Swift! Fans couldn't sniff Madonna or Gaga's sneakers for $50. Let's hope Taylor Swift goes ticketless to keep scalpers from stealing all the decent seats. Ticket scalpers are vermin who deserve to be treated as such.

Taylor Swift. Yeah she's doing okay. Changes boyfriends every week. Makes millions. Wait till she grows up, then she'll really do something, right?

Hello in there? So what about that stale Roky Moon video that's been up there for over a hundred years? Did he buy like buy a year-long subscription spot or something? Isn't time to change it out with something new?

Sam- I have two daughters- two ticket limit is pretty shortsighted. Guess you have not had to take packs of girls to a show like this. They travel in packs of 6-8 plus a parent or two.

Taylor Swift playing at Toyota Center? That is going to be a huge cluster. My guess is that, in true TM tradition, 80 percent of the tickets will go to scalpers who have paid for that privilege.
