Win tickets to see Metric

I have a pair of tickets to give away to see Metric at Warehouse Live on Monday. I'll keep this very short, as the holidays are surely the most important thing on your mind right now. The band's new album is titled Fantasies, so leave a comment with your fantasy concert. The concert you might see in your wildest dream that has no concept of time or space.

Me, I'd like to see Nickelback on the moon. I mean, I'd stay down here, of course.

I'll pick a winner at random at 3 p.m. Friday.

Metric with Band of Skulls. 8 p.m. Monday. Warehouse Live. $20.

I think it would be cool to see the "Rite of Spring" conducted by Igor Stravinsky himself.

    Either that or Gwar.

    HuntreHouston Wed, 11/25/2009 - 2:05pm

Soundgarden reunited (because it feels so good)
    with Rage Against the Machine
and Alice in Chains (with the ghost of Layne Staley ON the guest list).

    japandemic Wed, 11/25/2009 - 2:18pm

... and the opening act is the Foo Fighters doing all Nirvana covers.

    Just a thought really.

    Yeah, forget it.

I wanna see Metric! Hmm..ok I would like to see Royksopp, Passion Pit, Wolfgang Amadeus, Little Boots, and The Ting Tings perform all in one day!

    waysidedrive Wed, 11/25/2009 - 2:28pm

Modest Mouse doing all the songs from The Moon and Antarctica ON the moon and antarctica.

    dukewysocki Wed, 11/25/2009 - 2:37pm

L.A.X. from Austin, Texas would be phenomenal. It'd be amazing to see them collab with Fat Tony. That would be the ultimate fantasy performance of mine. Maybe I'll give Tony a call....

    GunsandTacos Wed, 11/25/2009 - 2:50pm

    Fantasy performance:

    Your Mom.

    (already got tickets)

    Matt Wed, 11/25/2009 - 6:20pm

This is a strange fantasy but I'd like to see M.I.A. opening for OUTKAST with RADIOHEAD as the headliner. It would be the best six hours of music of my life.

    Mystic Thought Wed, 11/25/2009 - 6:34pm

Reunited Neutral Milk Hotel performing the entirety of In the Aeroplane Over the Sea followed by an encore featuring songs from Everything Is and On Avery Island.

    RyanM Wed, 11/25/2009 - 9:14pm

I would kill to see the following show:

    Led Zeppelin
    The White Stripes
    Foo Fighters
    QOTSA
    Them Crooked Vultures

That, would be one hell of a show.

My dream concert: Morrissey, The National, The Antlers and Voxtrot. It would take place at an outdoor venue during a meteor shower. Plus just for kicks, each band would play a Bob Dylan cover...

    ShyStarOT Thu, 11/26/2009 - 10:06am

My dream concert: Erykah Badu, Pearl Jam (circa 90s; still warming up to the new stuff), Ted Nugent, Hedwig and the Angry Inch band, for starters...

    thechels Thu, 11/26/2009 - 1:17pm

    maybe cliché, but whatever:
    Beatles, Covent Gardens, London.

    M Douglas Fri, 11/27/2009 - 12:38am

Eddie Vedder solo acoustic followed by White Stripes. Show would be closed out by Chris Martin playing keyboard cat.

    ElleDazzle Fri, 11/27/2009 - 2:27am

OutKast and Kate Bush have been having tea together (Big Boi drinks a beer so he doesn't feel left out). They decide to throw a concert on the wing of an airplane using magnetic boots or something. A pterodactyl approaches the airplane, but they defeat it using the power of friendship and psychedelia. A good time is had by me.

    Sarita Fri, 11/27/2009 - 11:22am

The Doors and Jimi Hendrix, in my living room.

Man, I am so PISSED that I missed the 60's.

    japandemic Fri, 11/27/2009 - 11:33am

Does anybody know who Magma is? It would be cool to see them do a show with Koenjihyakkei at our own Warehouse Live. Also a double bill of Univers Zero and Henry Cow and Slapp Happy would be amazing They'd probably do well at Rudz. Two Star Symphony could be on that bill!

Ooooh, what about National Health at the Mink backroom. Wow! That would be so amazing.

Or Invincible Czars opening for Frank Zappa's 1975 band.

I guess I'm cheating by posting twice. But, at this point it's really not even about the tickets anymore. I just want to see these shows. lol
