Local Foods has been a smash hit in its comfortable suburban Rice Village neighborhood. It seems destined to become a Houston classic, as well as a paragon of the sandwich arts. Yeah, I miss Antone's too, but not going to drive out to their new location.
Local Foods has absolutely won me over with the Roast Beef 'wich. AWSOME !

RE: the sandwich prices ... yes, they cost that much but the price includes two of their incredible side dishes. That cuts the cost of the sandwich alone down to a more moderate price.
For years I have missed Antone's when it was on Taft street.
