Though you can’t be blamed for thinking Angelo’s looks like a fairly stock Main Street bar from the outside, you’ll find it more difficult to maintain that judgement after a few minutes inside. The long bar stretches out in front of one of the most impressive draft walls Downtown (seventy beers on tap), while the liquor selection leaves little to be desired. Prices and specials are consistently good – especially compared to the rest of Main – and the ambiance can easily leave you feeling as though you got far more than you paid for. You should expect live music, especially during the second half of the week, as the owner – himself a musician – has made performances a cornerstone of the atmosphere.
