OK, you, your vegan BFF and your Mom need a place to eat. Every trendy restaurant you've offered has been shot down. Thank goodness for Baba Yega! A nice safe (make that familiar) selection of sandwiches, salads and pastas for Mom. A veggie Reuben for your gal pal and a honking-big ribeye for yourself -- all at a reasonable price in a gardenlike setting. Sunday brunch draws festive crowds. Bonus: The front porch patio offers prime Montrose people-watching.
Vibe: Montrose take on ladies-who-lunch cafe, if by ladies you mean drag queens.
Happy Hour Specials: Monday-Friday: 4 p.m.-7 p.m.
I see some classic Bentley snaps in here. I think your stngreth this quarter has been your portraits finding people just going about their business and keeping them comfortable on camera. I think you also do a nice job consistently of finding interesting lines and angles in your pictures, like in the birds in the streetlight shot, or the pumpkins leading towards the trailer. The only consistant critique I have is minor sometimes your backgrounds can be a little cluttered/distracting and the subject might benefit from a slightly tighter focus, particularly in a situation with a lot of signs involved but on the other hand, I think you choose backgrounds that are relevant to the subject. Your work was strong from week to week, and I think your portfolio reflects that.
Veggie Reuben is worth the trip. My Reuben Party this year will have the Baba veggie version and the classic corned beef Reubens from Kennealys. and I will wipe my hands on my tongue
