Freshly grilled burgers, nicely charred hot dogs, hand-cut, skins-on fries and kick-ass shakes are all you need to know about this small Houston-born chain. Salads, grilled chicken and grilled vegetables provide options for those watching their waist lines. Try, if you dare, Bill's Burger, a juicy slab of grilled beef topped with sauteed onions, bacon, cheddar cheese, jalapenos and Beck's special sauce. You'll find great burgers at all of the Beck's locations, but our favorites are the Augusta and Dairy Ashford restaurants where sprawling decks are shaded by huge oaks. Every meal feels like a wonderous picnic.
Vibe: Really, really laidback ... unless you try to steal one of my fries. Get your own damn fries.

This place has always been one of the best hamburger chains in Houston.
I have nothing but good things to say about Beck's. They offer excellent quality burgers at a fair price.

Beck's had pretty good food ... weird that their burgers are usually cooked rare to medium no matter what you ask for. Memo: don't EVER make the mistake of going thru drive thru, takes 20 minutes.

Drive thru's are meant for fast food joints, where the food is ALREADY prepared. At Beck's 20 minutes is a short wait for what you get

Yes, it is a little pricey, but worth every penny. And no, it is not a "fast food" place.

Im not impressed with Beck's prime. i mean, for a burger joint its pretty good and better than mcdonalds or burger king (last place- whataburger- blech!). the tuna ahi grilled burger SUCKS. go to district 7 grill at bagby and peirce to have your tounge blown off for a tuna burger. the fries are ok, but i will give the milkshakes some credit. very good milkshakes.

Beck's has better 'burgers that should be obvious. If you want a drugstore style burger with a thin patty go somewhere else. Beck's is simply higher up the scale than most Houston 'burgers. Quality and freshness is what you get and that cost more.

Amazing burgers, EXTREMELY FRESH! Although this joint is a little bit pricey, I this it is totally worth it!
