The only remarkable thing about this place is that they let my son make his own pizza. The food was okay but overpriced, and the "decor" is just kind of sad. Big Humphrey's is a Pearland landmark, so you may feel compelled to go once. We did, but we probably won't spend the money again.
This is one of the best classic restaurants in the Houston Area. It has been here since the 1940s. The decor is very old fashion and fun with pictures of the original owner who was a boxer in the 30's and 40's. Plus, they have a great collection of antique Coke memorabilia. The above review is a very sad representation of the restaurant. Yes, it is not new with the latest gadgets but it has been around for 70+ years. The food is great with amazing Pizza!! We are from League City but stop by anytime that we are near Pearland.
Food is good and the history is interesting, but Big Humphrey really needs to fix his A/C. No one wants to sweat while eating pizza inside.
