Field Greens Salad with fried crawfish Nick de la Torre : 29-95
It always seems like a party at Ciro's. The wait staff is friendly and, dare we say, happy to serve you. The house wine is well-priced and there's several half bottles available. And the food ranges from good (the mussels served in a garlicky tomato sauce) to very, very good (the grilled shrimp and veal in a dijon mustard sauce). There's a special menu for those watching their waistlines and a gratis basket of yummy bread for those who are not. Another good deal: Pasta dishes come in two portion sizes. There are daily specials and brunch on the weekends. We like to sit at the bar and watch pizzas come out of the wood-burning oven or, when the weather is good, take a seat on the patio and play bocce ball between courses.
Vibe: As warm and lovingly gooey as the lasagna.
Happy Hour Specials: 3 p.m.-6 p.m. daily
