Comfy midtown java house makes it easy to kick back and relax any time of day. Have a breakfast crepe and cafe au lait in the morning; a chipotle chicken panini and frozen green tea in the afternoon; and a glass (or two) shiraz at Happy Hour. Outdoor seating and WiFi provide reason enough to sit for a spell. An independent coffee shop with a corporate feel, Coffee Groundz is one of the better choices Midtown offers for posting up with a laptop or a book. At night, it becomes an unassuming place to drop in for a quick drink before heading off to dinner or another bar. Though the inside is often packed with students or tele-commuters, the spacious back patio is a fine place to have a post-work cocktail or a cup of coffee. It’s one of the few places you can get a Long Island Iced Tea and a latte, both made with care.
Vibe: No worries here.
