Chef-owner Lance Fegen of Zula fame rocks the Heights with a new emphasis on casual, seasonal fare. In a bustling, quasi-industrial room with an open kitchen, he's working the line and slinging brawny American bistro-style flavors. The menu changes monthly, but look for clever pork and bacon accents, simple pan-jus sauces and unexpected sides. Seafood can be iffy. Savvy wine list (and advice) from partner/manager Shepard Ross.

We have been here four times and have never understood this menu. What is there to order? Everything is well prepared but, the most enjoyable expereince is to order at the bar. Small portions. Have a couple of drinks, have something from the bar menu and go somewhere else to have dinner.

so what you're saying is that Lance Fegan is no longer affiliated with Glass Wall?
Even without Lance, the Glass Wall has some of the best food in Houston and, without question, the best, most exciting wine list.
