There are lots of authentic Thai restaurants in Houston. Nit Noi is a great place for people who are unfamiliar with Thai cuisine and need a safe menu to explore. Standard dishes include sweet and sour shrimp, curry chicken and stir-fried tofu. Businessmen take clients for lunch to the Rice Village location, but don't let all of the suits fool you. There is no strict dress code. The dining area is always very neat and clean and service is generally quite good. Don't expect very spicy food. You'll be disappointed.
Vibe: Friendly.
A friend and I went to lunch at the Houston downtown cafe. It was clean, a little crowded with to many tables for the small area. But they were trying to serve more customers. Only 2 wait staff which caused service to be slow. Food was great, a bit on the high side for lunch. I will never go back as they automatically add 50% gratuity to the bill. I feel this was very steep for the service we got.. I prefer to set my own tip amount.
best spring rolls in town hands down
