A shrimp quesadilla. Syd Kearney : 29-95
9 locations, including Bear Creek, Chimney Rock at Glenmont, Westheimer at Voss, Reliant Park, Southwest, Galleria, Gulfgate, Montrose/River Oaks and South Belt/Ellington
We've developed a soft spot for Ruchi's. The place always seems a little scruffy, but the food is always fresh and the service is never lacking. Try a shrimp burrito (but sure to ask that queso be served on the side) or one of Ruchi's stellar shrimp cocktails. It's open 24 hours and that's good because you never know when you're going to need an inexpensive plate of Tex-Mex.
They serve beer after 2AM! Not sure if it non-alcoholic but they still do it. The food is NOT good people. This is a late night joint for drunkard who don't know any better.
Nearly ALL of these places sell after hours and to minors. There were three separate taquerias around Murphy/59 we used to get margaritas, to go, after hours, at age 17.
I like the Galleria location better than the Gulfgate location. Three other great tacquerias not mentioned in the top 29 Mexican restaurants are Tacqueria Del Sol, Tacqueria Mexico and La Tapitia.
average is the best i can say. used to eat here with a co-worker who liked it. i never liked it and there was better mexican in the area. now i eat elsewhere. i agree with the staff comments.
The workers act like they don't understand anything you say, they act like a manager does not exist. They need training over there on how to have better customer service. I won't go back there anymore.
The is average but all three times I went they had added charges for things I did not order. The charges on the bill were higher than the menu too! Too many other honest places to go to!
