If a picture tells a thousand words then Alex Gregg’s exhibit should convey a rich tale of some of Houston’s thrilling dining events.

Gregg, a bartender at Anvil Bar & Refuge who is also a photographer, will show his work at Catalina Coffee, 2201 Washington, for the month of February. The exhibit, which opens Feb. 1 with a reception from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m., chronicles the pop-up dining series called Les Sauvages co-hosted by Justin Basye and Peter Jahnke. In the fall Gregg followed Les Sauvages through various kitchens around the city documenting the culinary collaboration that created delicious foodie buzz.

Gregg’s work will be for sale and he’s donating a percentage of print sales to the newly-formed OKRA (Oragnized Kollaboration on Restaurant Affairs).

The opening reception is free. And if seeing the Les Sauvages photographs aren’t enough: Angel’s Envy Bourbon and Brugal Rum are providing cocktails.

WTF is that first picture of, anyway?? Looks like something that, if you found it on your dining-room rug, you'd promptly swat the dog for heaving up. Bleech!
