We say yes, yes, yes to Brennan’s of Houston’s new 7-7-7 menu in the Courtyard Bar. The menu features seen cocktails, seven wines by the glass and seven oyster dishes for $7 each. It is served daily from 2 to 7 p.m.
The cocktail options include Hot & Juicy, which features Stolichnaya jalapeno infused vodka, pineapple juice, lime and agave syrup. The oyster offerings are especially enticing: Crispy Oyster BLT (Gulf oyster with bacon mousse and Creole mustard glaze); Oyster Rockefeller Moderne (oysters with stewed greens and pernod); and Oyster Enchilada (corn tortilla, pepper jack cheese, tomatillo salsa and crema fresca).
Brennan’s also is planning a New Orleans-style Fat Tuesday party for Feb. 12. The festivities center around a three-course dinner ($65 per person, not including tax and gratuity) that will include items such as a Mardi Gras salad of beets with blue crab vinaigrette; BBQ Breaux Bridge Crawfish Shortcake; red snapper and crawfish over crawfish boil potato salad; Lamb Chops Tchoupitoulas; Absinthe Lacquered Hill Country Quail; and Opelousas Sweet Potato “Hubig’s Pie” with Steen’s cane syrup.
There will be a variety of choices for each course.
The party, from 5:45 to 10 p.m., also will include a live jazz band, bead tossers, a faux float as well as King Cake and specialty cocktails.
