Some of the city’s top bartenders will be shaking things up on Wednesday, July 11 at Grand Prize Bar for a fundraiser for The Museum of the American Cocktail.

According to Alex Gregg, treasurer of the Houston chapter of the United States Bartender’s Guild, the fundraiser will benefit the New Orleans-based cocktail museum to protect its collection.

The event, from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. at Grand Prize’s upstairs bar will feature guest bartenders and a menu of classic cocktails and original libations from Houston’s Ladies United for the Preservation of Endangered Cocktails. The guest bartender roster will include Alba Huerta of Anvil, Lindsey Heffron of Liberty Station, Lainey Collum of Hay Merchant and Double Trouble, Yael Vengroff of Fitzgerald’s, Ornella Ashcraft of Haven, and Sheriden Fay of El Gran Malo.

All cocktails will be $8. The event sponsors will donate $4 of each cocktail to the Museum.
