Monday's (Feb. 13) Love’s in Fashion party at Tootsie’s is sure to be a doozie: a fashion show marking the 25th anniversary of the Art Car parade and the store’s one-year anniversary at West Ave.
But it’ll be remarkable for another reason: it’s Houston’s first taste of Katsuya by S+ARCK Houston. The restaurant, which will open Friday, March 2, will serve appetizers including Crispy Rice with Spicy Tuna and Baked Crab Hand Rolls as well as Katsuya’s fresh white grapefruit Cosmopolitan.
Katsuya, which will be located at West Ave, is a collaboration among sbe chairman and CEO Sam Nazarian, designer Philippe Starck and sushi chef Katsuya Uechi. Katsuya Houston is a partnership between sbe and Houston-based GEG Group, which plan to expand the brand throughout Texas with five locations over the next five years.

Does anyone know for sure if the opening is today...
