Moon Tower Inn, the Eado hangout famous for its wild game hot dogs and laid-back clientele, has reopened after a 15-month hiatus/revamp. Attention beer lovers, owners Owners Brandon Young and Evan Shannon’s renovation included 66 new tap lines.
A photo posted to the restaurant’s Facebook page show a long line of first-comers, many of whom walked away with free growlers promoting Moon Tower’s new on-site brewing facility.
The kitchen, according to a Facebook post, will open Wednesday.

Now open, part 2: Pesca
Pesca World Seafood has opened in River Oaks. The restaurant is the brainchild of chef/owner Alberto Alfonzo who last month closed Tintos, a tapas restaurant, for this new concept. Pesca, which is open for dinner Tuesday-Thursday and all day on the weekends, specializes in fresh seafood including Pretzel Crab Cakes, seafood-laced Black Rice Risotto and Red Snapper Tiradito.
Sorry to see Tinto's go. I thought their wines and tapas were terrific.
Moon Tower Inn is not in EaDo. It is in the East End. I see this all the time, mixing up the East End, EaDo, and east downtown. They are all separate places.
Well where is EaDo if it isn't the East End?
Used to love Moon Tower, but the 30 minute wait for a beer or overpriced hotdog has lost it's luster. They removed the stage where bands used to perform and had a terribly annoying single spotlight that was like looking into the sun if you faced that direction. If they don't get their act together they'll be closed for MORE than 15 months.
