Restaurant news: A crawfish cruise in Woodlands

    Landry's in The Woodlands is making the most of mudbugs April 14 with the annual Crawfish Festival and Crawfish Cruise. At the restaurant, fest-goers will enjoy all-you-can-eat crawfish, live music and kids’ activities. Tickets are $30 ($10 per child).
    Or for a VIP experience, get on the Crawfish Cruise. For $85 (plus tax and gratuity), you get admission to the festival and a two-hour dining cruise that includes boiled shrimp and crawfish, crawfish étouffée, fried crawfish tails and two free drinks. Boardings are at 1 p.m., 2 p.m. and 3 p.m.

    Brennan's is hosting Courtyard Socials to welcome the warm weather 6-8 p.m. May 1 and May 22. The May 1 event is a Mudbug Frenzy that will include crawfish étouffée and the May 22 event toasts Texas shrimp. Cost is $20 per night and includes food and two drinks. Reservations required.

    Bourbon dinner
    Hyatt Market Street in The Woodlands will host a dinner featuring pairings with Garrison Brothers Bourbon at 7 p.m. April 11. Following passed plates at 6:30 p.m., the meal will feature Charred Oak Chicken-Fried Chicken, Redneck Cheddar and Bourbon Fondue, Cherry Glazed Bone-in Pork Chop and, for dessert, a Spiced Chocolate Chess Pie. Cost is $55 (plus tax and gratuity).
