Five movies to catch this Christmas

OK, so you've opened presents, ate dinner and you've had enough of family time. So, what do you do next? The movies are always a great option around the holidays and two blockbusters open Christmas. "Django Unchained" and "Les Miserables" are out Tuesday, but there are some other films that may be worth checking out.

    "Django Unchained"

Director and fan-boy favorite Quentin Tarantino's western is one of the most-anticipated films of the year and has already received critical acclaim. Jamie Foxx, Leonardo DiCaprio and Samuel L. Jackson star.

    "Les Miserables"

An all-star cast will bring this iconic play to the big screen. Anne Hathaway, Hugh Jackman, Amanda Seyfried, Russell Crowe and Helena Bonham Carter are just some of the big names who will appear in this classic.

    "This Is 40"

Judd Apatow's semi-sequel to "Knocked Up" stars Paul Rudd, Leslie Mann, Megan Fox and Jason Segel. Apatow's films have the knack to simultaneously tug at your heart string and funny bone. You can't go wrong here.

    "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey"

"The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey"could be the perfect family film this holiday season. J. R. R. Tolkien's beloved book will finally come to life in this prequel to the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy. Let your imagination run wild in the Shire.

    "Jack Reacher"

If it looks like you've seen this movie 100 times, you probably have. You have a Hollywood star that plays tough guy and beats up bad guys and looks cool in the process. Come on Hollywood, try harder than that. If you are looking into action flicks and recycled premises, "Jack Reacher" may be for you.

Things i hate about Jamie Foxx:

"Everything i do is about race"

"Thank our lord and savior Barak Obama"

Jamie Foxx believes movies influence real life violence, advocates stripping legally owned guns from responsible Americans, then acts in "Django Unchained".

    Typical liberal imbecile.

The amusing thing about "Jack Reacher" is that the hero in the Reacher novels is 6'5", 250lbs, hitchhikes everywhere, carries no luggage and only buys clothes when those he's wearing get dirty, and is meaner than a junk yard dog.

    And then there's Tom Cruise.

Does Quentin Tarantino kiss his family with his mouth that spews ignorance and Yankee venom. Less than 30% of Southerners were slave owners and many supporters of Lincoln were slaveholders in the NORTH.

Assuming the percentage is correct, you have to remember that to own slaves, one had to be a relatively wealthy landowner, so 30% of the population means those with power. Slavery was a significant part of the southern economy.

Yankee venom? yea, you're not adding to it at all.

If we get to play that game... who won that war? If history teaches us anything, whom ever wins gets to write history... (I can not stop laughing as writing this...)
