Social media is moving adelante in Houston this week.
The city is host, Thursday-Saturday, to the Latinos In Tech Innovation and Social Media (LATISM) 2012 national conference at the downtown Hyatt Hotel. It brings a wealth of information focusing on four tracks: education, health, business and technology.
Keynote speakers include Nely Galán, the first Latina president of a U.S. TV network (Telemundo); and acclaimed novelist Sandra Cisneros.
The conference kicks off at 6:30 p.m. Thursday with a welcome party. Registration, which ranges from $60-$400, is still open, and you can also do it at the event.
