I spent 14 months in Houston working on this website, drinking in movie theaters, hanging out at the Menil, falling in love with a couple of Houston bands, discovering green sauce, shopping at Super H-Mart, downing margaritas, eating way too many sandwiches from Les Givral's and spending a few hung-over Sundays at Baba Yega's brunch. Then I moved to San Francisco, where there's nary a free drink to be found and a single month's rent could get you an apartment in Houston for half a year. When you're forced to explain why you ever lived in Houston to a bunch of self-important, yuppie Californians, you remember all the things about it you miss. So I moved back. Hi.
