Only two Abita brews? I just picked up a sixer of their Restoration Ale. It's on the low end of the ABV scale for pale ales with a scant 4.8%. As a result, it's considerably less bitter than others in the 5s or 6s. And yes, the bottle talks about how Abita has given $500k to help rebuild and restore.
Their brewery absolutely looks like Merlotte's. I think I can see Sam in the window.
You somehow nailed the demo for Purple Haze. That aptly describes the three people I know who like it.
The Prestige is a great movie, less so if you are spoiled going into it. Nolan currently has 5 movies in the top 110 on IMDB; that is quite the feat. His other movie, Insomnia, is the only one of his I haven't seen yet.
Does any movie that toys with the laws of physics have to be forever compared to the Matrix? What did people compare movies to before the Matrix? This bothers me.
I'm surprised you didn't like the Stone Ruination more. It's not an easy beer and like you said, an assault on the mouth. I'd likewise still give the edge to Avery's entry in this battle though. Man, they make some awesome beers.
My bad. I will never doubt your ability to player-hate in the future.
Off to drink some beer...

That response is too damn fair. Where's the bias!!! I celebrate all of the Avery beers. Always a nice treat in between 40s of malt liquor.
