I work for 29-95.com. I have covered the Houston music scene for many years and continue to support it and hope that someday, somehow it will become a cohesive scene that has other cities talking.

I grew up in the Houston area (Pasadena: setting of Urban Cowboy and home to cancer-causing air) and have nothing but love for its diversity, lack of pretention, year-round growing season and cheap housing. The things about Houston that don't kick ass have been well documented elsewhere and do not need to be repeated, but I will say this much: cockroaches? Never worth it.
